complex people–focus challenges? Our client is seeking a Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist to play a pivotal role in managing HR operations and driving strategic initiatives across their business.
Requirements:
- A Human Resources qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) is essential
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience with advanced HR generalist responsibilities
- Professional HR certification is preferred
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is advantageous
- Expertise in labour laws, HR principles, and HRIS systems
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and labour laws
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes to ensure successful integration of new hires
- Foster employee engagement through events, wellness initiatives, and recognition programs
- Serve as a trusted advisor, addressing workplace issues, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution
- Identify training needs, coordinate development programs, and support leadership and succession planning
- Manage compensation structures, benefits administration, and payroll processing
- Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Skills, Health & Safety regulations, and lead audits
- Drive performance management processes, promoting feedback and continuous improvement
- Support special HR projects and provide ad-hoc assistance as required
