Our Business Development Representative (SDR) will play a crucial role in expanding Coronado's footprint within the Clinical Trials segment. This role is essential for generating and qualifying new leads, engaging with prospective clients, and setting up the sales team for success as we scale into new regions like EMEA and the US.
Success in this role will come from your ability to engage prospects early in the sales cycle, uncover client needs, and help initiate conversations with key stakeholders in biotech and pharma. You'll play a pivotal role in building a pipeline of qualified leads and supporting the Business Development Directors in driving new business opportunities.

The role can be remote in the UK but you will need to travel to events and meetings. Being based in Newcastle or London are a slight advantage.
What you'll be doing:
- Generate Leads : Focus on prospecting and lead generation, identifying and reaching out to biotech companies and clinical trial professionals to determine if Coronado's solutions align with their needs.
- Qualify Prospects : Use discovery calls, email outreach, and other communication methods to qualify inbound leads and new opportunities. Assess their interest, needs, and potential fit for our platform.
- Drive Outreach : Lead proactive outreach to potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social media, ensuring strong engagement with decision-makers in the biotech and pharma sectors.
- Support Sales Team : Work closely with Account Executives to book meetings, provide initial research on leads, and ensure smooth transitions as prospects move through the sales funnel.
- Collaborate and Contribute : Provide valuable insights to the sales and marketing teams about the needs and pain points of prospects to help refine our messaging, marketing collateral, and lead generation tactics.
- Pipeline Management : Keep detailed records of prospect interactions, maintaining and updating Salesforce or other CRM platforms to track lead status, opportunities, and engagement.
- Refine Processes : Actively contribute to refining outreach and qualification processes as Coronado expands, bringing creative ideas for improving efficiency and lead generation effectiveness.
