Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30
To meet legal objectives such as assisting with the legal management of Treasury related funding activities which includes external fund raising activities as well as intra-group funding. This includes drafting of intra-group funding and other supporting documents, briefing external legal representatives, and proactively managing Treasury transactions generally under supervision. Utilise technical knowledge to support and collaborate with other team members.
Build and develop relationships internally and externally with various stakeholders, including keeping business units aware of legal developments.
Consult with internal clients to understand business requirements and provide sound legal advice pertaining to the drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and/or negotiation of legal documentation and processes, providing clear legal direction based on sound judgment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Type of Qualification: LLB and Admitted Attorney
Other Qualification: BCOM or other business degree will be advantageous
Experience Required
2-4 years experience in legal research, drafting and analysing legal documents, with at least 2 years within the legal and/or financial and/or corporate/commercial sectors. Experience in the provision of standard and intermediate legal advice, drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and/or negotiation.
