Introduction
To contribute to attracting new business and retain existing business through communicating, promoting, positioning and selling the JSE offerings to its predefined target audience in a holistic manner while furthering the attainment of the JSE's commercial goals.
Results Delivery
- Ensure that results are delivered cost effectively by managing the budget, tracking costs and delivering within the budget parameters.
- Ensure that results are delivered on time by adhering to timelines set by JSE business.
- Ensure that results are delivered to standard by measuring against the predefined objectives, JSE brand standards and marketing best practices.
- Do high level planning at the end of each financial year and produce quarterly activity plans out of these.
- Amend annual and quarterly plans by keeping abreast of changing environment.
- Formalize plans through constant engagement on the business requirements based on the budget provided and the quarterly plans.
- Get signoff on deliverables from the marketing and business management teams to ensure consistency and standardisation.
- Ensure all results delivered are sustainable by aligning it to the overall business strategy which ensures sustainability.
- Ensure systems, products or projects delivered contributes to improve client/JSE service by providing input on budgets, resources required, and process based on the understanding of costs, communication mediums, business objectives, relationship with external suppliers and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Understand clients' business objectives by participating in annual strategic planning sessions.
- Build channel relationships by understanding and engaging in activities that build channel and end customer relationships.
- Understand clients' needs by arranging briefing sessions and creating briefing documents that include objectives, marketing strategy, mediums messaging, expected outcome, timelines and budget.
- Keep track of and align clients' business objectives to the marketing plan through continuous communication.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing engagement with the business.
- Build sustainable relationships with vendors by guiding vendors and giving them access to business information.
- Manage the relationship with vendors by ensuring that the quality of work to business is of high standard and conforms to JSE brand standards and marketing best practice.
- Guide vendors by providing JSE business and marketing strategy insight; corporate products and services insights; as well as marketing expectations.
- Ensure marketing expectations are met by participating in monthly vendor evaluation sessions.
- Build sustainable vendor relationships by participating in the monthly client/supplier evaluation sessions.
Process Management
- Ensure that work is delivered consistently to plan by aligning work to marketing and business objectives and as stipulated in the briefs.
- Track progress by measuring activities against the predetermined plans which include timelines, expected outcomes and budget.
- Deliver to plan by adhering to JSE corporate brand standards and marketing best practice, identify obstacles to delivery and take appropriate action where required.
- Ensure that campaigns are successful by tracking and measuring campaign results.
- Manage risk of non-delivery by vendors by actively managing suppliers and vendors and taking corrective action to ensure delivery.
- Manage legal compliance by ensuring marketing disclaimers are applied and the necessary sign off is obtained by the legal department.
- Manage brand reputational risk by ensuring that messages are appropriate, standards are met and aligned to JSE brand standard.
- Manage risk of non-compliance to JSE Brand Templates by maintaining the system and resolving issues related to the templates.
- Manage the quality of the marketing outputs by providing guidance in terms of marketing strategy, mediums messaging and expected outcomes.
- Ensure synergy and compliance of all marketing outputs by participating in creative counsel and presenting these outputs to business for sign off.

- Improve personal capability and professional growth relating to field of expertise, in line with JSE objectives by discussing development needs and proposed solutions with management.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation or standards by conducting research and utilising networks.
- Upskill team and other professionals by sharing knowledge and research results.

- Analyse, research, develop and implement improvement/innovative ideas and value adding solutions contributing to divisional and JSE results.
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing Management.
