Four our Group Procurement, we are looking for a Global Sourcing Manager (CAPEX & Mechanical Equipment)(f/m/d). The role is based at our Headquarter in Heidelberg Germany, and reports to the position Global Team Leader Project Sourcing.
The Global Sourcing Manager (CAPEX & Mechanical Equipment) will be instrumental in developing and implementing procurement strategies for mechanical equipment and capital investment projects. This global role, responsible for a category with an annual turnover of €300 million, involves close collaboration with various departments and external partners to ensure procurement goals are met in terms of time, cost, and quality.
You will also manage global framework agreements and partnerships with suppliers, supporting our countries in sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and claim management. Additionally, you will support investment projects in multi-disciplinary procurement teams (MPT approach). This role reports solid line to the Global Team Leader Project Sourcing.).
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Category Strategy Development:
Craft and execute global procurement strategies for mechanical equipment in cement plants.
Scout and assess potential suppliers to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
Forge and nurture strong relationships with technology providers, integrators, licensors, and key suppliers.
Sourcing & Supplier Management:
Lead procurement activities in mid-sized international investment projects.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with company goals.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and project timelines.
Contract & Claim Management:
Oversee contract performance and resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.
Take commercial responsibility for tendering activities, including pre-development, design engineering, final negotiations, and contract closure
YOUR PROFILE
At least 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
Deep understanding of procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
Proven ability to manage a category on a global scale.
Strong track record in managing supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing.
Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Technical Studies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction and negotiation with various stakeholders.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken (additional languages are a plus).
Experience in leading cross-functional teams, coaching, and stakeholder management.
