What is the job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Control Lead to oversee our accounting, accounts payable, debtors, banking, and payroll teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes while preparing comprehensive management reports that provide insights into Group financial performance.
What will be expected of you?
- Lead the finance team with strategic direction.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and controls.
- Collaborate on company financial strategy.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Manage supplier relationships and banking operations.
- Support payroll processing and compliance.
- Prepare and present financial reports.
- Work with FP&A on budgeting and performance monitoring.
- Handle financial audits and ensure compliance.
- Identify automation opportunities for financial processes.
- Provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Ensure statutory compliance and maintain financial records.
- Support strategic initiatives across departments.
- Implement process improvements.
- Mentor and develop finance team members.
Are you qualified?
- Relevant financial degree/qualification.
- CIMA / CA (SA) advantageous.
Did you do this before?
- 5+ years relevant experience in an analytical/finance role.
Do you have what it takes?
- Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis acquired through related work experience.
- QSR or Retail experience will be an advantage.
