Our Client in Swadlincote is looking for dedicated MIG Welders to join their team on a 12-week Temp-to-Perm basis. This provides an opportunity for individuals to showcase their skills and potentially secure a long-term position with the company.
Welder - Main duties:
- The main duties of the Welder include fabricating components using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces.
- It is important for Welders to follow proper procedures and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- The work mainly involves mild steel and galvanized materials ranging from 1mm to 5mm.
- Welders are responsible for fabricating components by measuring assemblies, selecting the appropriate welding method, and meeting quality targets to maintain high standards.
- It is also important for Welders to complete work documents and records to track their progress and ensure that all work is done accurately.
Welder Hours & Shifts:
Currently there are vacancies on fixed afternoons:
- 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday (PM Shift)
Welder Benefits:
The company offers competitive hourly rates with overtime opportunities available providing additional earning potential for those who are willing to work extra hours.
- Initial Basic Rate of Pay £14.00 p/hour on PM Shift.
- Once fully trained and certified (training paid by the company) pay rate goes up to £18.70 per hour on Days (2-3 months).
- Overtime paid at 1.33x rate Monday to Friday & 1.5x Saturday rate.
- Overtime is regularly available.
