Pastry Chef
Here at Pertemps Network Catering, we are currently recruiting an experienced and professional Pastry Chef to work alosngside our client based in Edgbaston (B16). This will be a long-term full time temporary basis at secondary School.
Monday- Friday Hours 6.00am -2.30 pm
Valid Enhanced DBS needed Food and Hygiene & Allergen Certificate Working as part of their catering team, you will be responsible for supervising a junior pastry chef, creating sweet treats from scratch and baking nutritious pastries for the students, staff and parents in the school.
The Role will require candidates to be available to work 5 days a week.
Pastry Chef Responsibilities: - Developing new and unique recipes to feature on the menu.
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries for students and staff, adhering to the school culinary standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensure required standards are adhered to preparation of food.
- Adapt menus to accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is well-maintained and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation and kitchen procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
