As Warehouse Operative you will play a key part in maintaining daily production workflow to help achieve or improve on time delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring material deliveries are accurate and are communicated to internal customers to ensure continuous production without delays while playing a key role in enhancing material traceability systems. Your existing ERP experience will act as a foundation in this role and you will be open to material certification training and development. Key to this role will be your ability to work collaboratively with the Stores team, communicating order discrepancies to the Buyer and escalating any areas of concern to your Supervisor. You will receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on site and handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, specifications or dictated by our on-site Health & Safety and Quality functions.
Duties
• Check accuracy of delivery lines
• Locate materials into Goods In
• Check and confirm materials are according to purchase order; highlight discrepancies to Buyer
• Maintain material traceability and log accurate deliveries into ERP
• Analyse and log material certification, informing Quality Assurance of any irregularities
• Attend and contribute to daily Stores meeting
• Communicate material arrivals to relevant function and update shortages board
• Update Project material document as and when deliveries arrive to eliminate production delays
• Store materials in respective designated areas or issue to relevant team
• Pick and issue materials as detailed on a parts list, electronically and physically, ensuring full material traceability
• Preserve materials to be held in Inventory
• Maintain stores and yard areas housekeeping 5S
• Identify and make recommendations on areas of improvement
• Conduct all material movements in accordance with the company's safe working practices
• Participate in accurate daily cycle counting
• Carry out daily forklift inspections highlighting any areas requiring maintenance or safety risks
• Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
Skills and Experience Required
Valid FLT reach and counterbalance Licence and 5 years experience working in a warehouse environment.
