Calling all experienced Cask Handlers
Escape Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a highly respected Whisky Manufacturer in the South Lanarkshire area. Our client are looking to hire an experienced Cask Handler to manage daily operations in a busy warehouse environment. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching casks, dry goods, and finished products. Working closely with the warehouse and production teams, you'll also handle stock counts and administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Processing spirit in a timely manner to support spirit supply and customer demand
- Provide support for the process leads in carrying out DRAMA and SCADDA work related to spirit movements
- Stock Management: Track stock locations using barcode scanning and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Order Fulfilment: Process orders for packing, picking, and dispatch of casks and other goods.
- Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts and other equipment.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring you flag any issues you observe.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock counts and manage stock rotation.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with transport companies and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and stock movements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes.
- Skills & Experience:
- Experience in cask handling or warehouse operations.
- Forklift license (ideal but training can be provided)
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP).
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work well in a team.
