Company Overview: The group of companies is involved in a number of forestry related operations aiming to produce directly to various markets.
Who will the candidate be reporting to: COO
Job summary: Manage a number of timber farms with a variety of genera.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee and control the activities involving a typical commercial forestry operation in rotation.
- Maintain relationship with local communities.
- Measure and report contractors performance.
- Manage all permanent teams.
- Fire prevention and response in season
- Maintain FSC standards and administration.
- Adhere to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent track record
- No criminal record
- Valid drivers license
- Formal traceable academic qualifications
- Experience in preparation, planting,thinning, weed control, harvesting and transport.
