Your Purpose The Group Exercise Lead for Pilates & Yoga is responsible for managing and delivering exceptional group exercise experiences in Pilates and Yoga across assigned clubs within the region. This role ensures that every member receives consistent, high-quality group exercise sessions that align with Virgin Actives wellness proposition. The P&Y Lead collaborates closely with the Regional Group Exercise Manager (RGEM) and club Exercise Experience Manager (EEM) to achieve strategic objectives, enhance member engagement, and maintain high standards in class delivery and instructor development Your Duties and Responsibilities Group Exercise Management Oversee the execution of Pilates & Yoga classes within assigned clubs, ensuring schedules are optimized to meet member needs and wellness goals. Implement quality control processes, conducting instructor assessments to ensure consistency and excellence in class delivery. Collaborate with the RGEM to optimize group exercise timetables, ensuring efficient use of resources and budgets and a diverse offering of classes. Instructor Recruitment & Development Recruit, onboard, and train group exercise instructors, aligning them with Virgin Actives culture and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, supporting instructors growth through workshops, skills sessions, and qualification courses. Monitor performance, managing underperforming instructors through development plans or terminations as needed, in coordination with the RGEM. Member Engagement & Experience Facilitate member induction processes that promote group exercise participation and create an engaging pathway for new members. Organize and lead events and activations to boost class participation, fostering a vibrant fitness community. Partner with the EEM to integrate group exercise P&Y into the broader member wellness journey, Operational Excellence Work alongside the Clubs to maintain high standards for group exercise facilities, ensuring spaces are well-equipped and safe for members and instructors. Uphold health and safety compliance, providing an inspiring and safe environment for fitness activities. Support the rollout of new group exercise programs in P&Y, managing the implementation and ensuring successful integration within clubs. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track and report on key performance indicators, collaborating with the RGEM to ensure alignment with Virgin Actives strategic goals. Metrics include total access and utilization, class counts, attendance rates, occupancy levels, and capacity. The role involves identifying underperforming clubs, locations, classes, and instructors, as well as managing quality control, hiring assessments, and training metrics such as workshops, refresher sessions, skills development, and qualification courses. Collaboration & Community Building Build and sustain a vibrant fitness community by integrating group exercise programs into club activities and events. Represent Virgin Active at local and national events, workshops, and promotional activities, showcasing expertise and driving member engagement. Our Minimum Requirements We cant live without (Minimum Requirements) Relevant tertiary fitness qualification in Pilates and or Yoga. 3-5 years experience within the fitness or group exercise role You are driven to achieve your own goals, and you love motivating others.
