Duties: - Record daily financial transactions in appropriate journals and ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements with the companys books, resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain and update the cashbook, ensuring accurate recording of receipts and payments.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Calculate, record, and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage and record foreign currency transactions, including exchange rate adjustments.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Implement internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
