Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems and plastic equipment
Perform rigging tasks and work at heights (ladders, scaffolds, roofs)
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to ensure safe and efficient operation
Understand electrical principles, systems (AC, DC, VFDs), and use test equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes)
Conduct fault analysis and problem-solving for electrical and machine malfunctions
Ensure regular maintenance is performed as per scheduled plans
Manage and monitor spare parts inventory
Identify and source necessary components for equipment maintenance
Liaise with external suppliers for parts, services, and quotes
Log maintenance jobs and track progress
Assist with budget planning and ensure required maintenance activities are completed on time
Ensure work areas comply with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness
Apply food safety principles in line with GMP and FSMS standards
Stay updated on industry innovations and technical improvements
Engage in continuous learning through manuals, online resources, and training
Contribute to team growth, leadership, and quality service improvements
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience
Strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics
Proficient in fault finding and equipment testing
Solid knowledge of health and safety (H&S) practices and safe working procedures
Experienced in installing electrical equipment
Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly
Capable of acting decisively and efficiently under pressure
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12
Minimum N2 in electrical trade theory and trade tested
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
