The Distribution and Contract Management Team Lead is accountable for setting of bulk products sourcing strategy, supervising the daily organization of bulk products to customers while minimizing the landed cost of bulk product through optimization of products sourcing & transportation cost taking into account continuous reliable customer supply. Managing the relation with bulk transporter(s) through proper implementation of bulk contract terms & governance, process owner of product sourcing & distribution active cycle, close the loops after the deliveries, understand distribution KPIs & be able to define concrete action for continuous improvement. The Distribution and Contract Management Team Lead is accountable for the distribution of bulk products efficiently and effectively and maintains customer satisfaction levels.
Responsibilities
- Product Sourcing & Optimising landed cost of bulk products
- Set the yearly product sourcing strategy in alignment with the sales targeted volumes.
- Optimizing the total landed cost of products through implementation of best practices of products sourcing & transport optimization techniques.
- Work hand by hand with bulk analyst to analyze operational & safety KPIs mainly related to KM/TON, fleet & drivers hours optimization, defining concrete action for continuous improvement.
- Evaluates distribution feasibility of new contracts involving sales, customer installations teams and National Logistics Manager.
- Participates in the optimization of routing tools by identifying gaps between functions and transport dispatching needs. Ensures that the team uses routing tools properly and identifies training needs.
- Contract Management
- Ensure proper implementation of bulk contract in term of operational, safety & commercials aspects.
- Review & approve the monthly billing template provided from bulk transporter(s) ensuring that the billed amount is correct & aligned with commercial, contractual governance & group benchmark whenever applicable.
- Summarizes fleet evolution needs prior to transportation contract re-negotiation with the transport provider. Adjusts the fleet of tractors/trailers in coordination with the transport provider to the distribution needs and leverage the contractual terms of transportation agreements.
- Ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place to answer customer complaints and all requirements for Safety & Quality are adhered to and managed as per given deadlines.
- Lead meetings such as: planning meetings with transporters, special meetings for CO2, problem solving and RCA, HR and Quality meetings.
- Focus on continuous improvement in terms of maintenance of tankers, understanding of causes on the field.

Educational requirements
- Preferably BSC in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) or
- Master Degree - Logistic & supply chain, Engineering or equivalent or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Production Management or Supply Chain qualification.
Experience
- 5 - 10 years of experience covering the following domains of expertise:
- Excellent Knowledge & practical experience of dangerous good planning & dispatching active cycles.
- Excellent knowledge of field execution of dangerous good transport & contract management.
- Fair knowledge of road safety fundamentals & regulation.
- Fair knowledge of fleet maintenance, basic understanding of maintenance needs for undercarriage, running gears, axles, different braking & safety systems; Cryogenic maintenance knowledge is an additional advantage.
- High analytical skills, able to read & understand what behind KPIs with ability to identify rooms for continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Know-how specific to the job
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics management.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and safe driver behavior.
- Knowledge of customer needs, ordering patterns.
- Knowledge and understanding of run dries and planning.
- Experienced in AL policies and operations.
