While operating within this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for all aspects of the import process for sea and airfreight.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in an Import Controller role handling sea and airfreight within clearing and forwarding (non-negotiable).
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- ShipShape experience is an added advantage.
Duties:
- Managing all aspects of the import process for both sea and air freight.
- Ensuring timely customs clearance, releases, shipping, and transportation/delivery of cargo.
- Monitoring and reporting on shipment statuses, proactively addressing any delays or issues, and managing relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiating rates for import services.
- Collaboration with internal teams.
