Position: Newly qualified CA (SA) of B. Comm Honours Management Accounting Analyst
Area: Sandton, Gauteng
Package: R35,000 CTC to R40,000 CTC
Purpose of the Position
An exciting opportunity for a Management Accounting Analyst to join a growing team. The role holder will be a key member of the Finance team working closely with the teams in Johannesburg and Stellenbosch.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead weekly / monthly / quarterly performance reviews with Senior Leadership team, presenting current financial performance, outlook and highlighting areas of opportunity and issue.
- Provide commercial and financial support for business change activities, e.g. M&A, cost reviews.
- Execute as needed on required finance close and reporting activities.
- Support management of business unit cost and revenue within budget parameters.
- Business unit performance analysis reviewing (income and expenses) actuals compared to budget, forecast and PY results.
- Support in the management of regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships across the Senior Leadership team.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Internationally recognized accounting qualification (CA(SA) / CIMA) with 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Newly qualified CA (SA) or candidates with at least an Honours Degree will be considered.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS.
- The candidate should be resourceful, proactive and able to self-manage adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Strong financial reporting skills including experience with the production of financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience of working within the Financial Services industry will be advantageous.
- Previous planning, budgeting and forecasting experience would be an asset.
- Previous experience in preparing board reports would be an asset.
