We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Freight Business Development Manager to cover the Northwest territory.
Our client is a highly successful global freight forwarder with an established international network, offering customers exceptional service at competitive prices.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement an annual business plan to achieve your annual budget requirements.
- Develop agreed markets and new products to increase profitable turnover through diversification of services.
- Implement processes for prospect management and customer follow-up to maximize sales penetration, profitability, and customer loyalty.
- Achieve a new business target of a minimum of 3 times salary and 8 appointments per week.
- Ensure a new customer report is completed outlining all key requirements, services, and prices for each new client.
Qualifications
In order to apply for this role, you will have experience in selling a multi-modal freight forwarding service. You will be self-motivated, sales-driven, and possess a proven track record in sales. Excellent market knowledge in freight forwarding, along with good negotiation and closing skills, is essential.
