Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
The successful applicant will be required to handle (but is not limited to) the following:
- In producing the monthly payroll timeously and supplying the required payroll reports
- In submitting the monthly statutory returns to SARS and the Dept of Labour timeously
- In submitting the bi-annual EMP501 returns to SARS before the due date
- In submitting the Return of Earnings to the Compensation Commissioner before the due date and obtaining the Letter of Good Standing for the client once the Assessment is paid.
- SARS registrations relating to payroll activities
- Knowledge of e-Filing
- Desire to constantly want to keep up to date with new/ revised legislation relating to payroll matters and to constantly ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Reports issued to the clients
Experience and qualifications:
- BCom Accounting Degree or Payroll Administration
- 2 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping or payroll administration
- Basic Tax knowledge
Must be proficient in:
- Payspace / Simplepay
- GreatSoft
- SARS e-Filing
