Job Description
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our In Person Payments (IPP) team. This role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements to drive the development and enhancement of financial applications. As the bridge between business needs and technical teams, you will ensure our software solutions meet high standards in quality, usability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with product owners, managers, developers, and end-users to clarify business goals and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions to understand processes and design solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
- Analyze current processes, identify improvement areas, and propose effective solutions.
Documentation & Communication
- Create clear business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Maintain regular communication with development teams, ensuring requirements are well-understood and implemented accurately.
- Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and assist in creating user guides.
- Document development requirements as epics, features, and stories for software teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to confirm requirements with stakeholders and align expectations.
- Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to requirements, project scope, and key deliverables.
Support Development & Testing Phases
- Work closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Define testing criteria in collaboration with quality assurance (QA) teams and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
- Validate that delivered features meet requirements and provide final sign-off on features post-delivery.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and evaluate the effectiveness of deployed solutions.
- Produce reports on project progress, feature usage, and post-launch outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or fintech.
Skills
- Strong grasp of business analysis methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and requirements tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to simplify complex requirements and a high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with financial regulations, payment systems, or financial reporting tools.
- Experience with API integrations and UX/UI principles.
- Intermediate-level analysis certification (CBPA/IIB) is a plus.
