Qualifications Education and Experience - High school diploma/GED.
- Six (6) months of experience in the maintenance and repair of utilities, stormwater, or transportation infrastructure.
Licenses or Certifications - Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida CDL B driver's license within ninety (90) days of hire or promotion.
- Must obtain and maintain Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control certification from an approved trainer within six (6) months of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities: - Performs semi-skilled manual and limited technical work for installation and maintenance of City water, sewer, and irrigation infrastructure, stormwater infrastructure, and/or transportation infrastructure.
- Ensures the proper stocking and functioning of equipment and supplies in assigned city vehicle(s) and prepares work sites per daily work orders.
- Performs essential functions as part of a crew comprised of equipment operators and laborers but may perform certain independent tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Performs maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation and repair of water/wastewater and irrigation lines, replacement of damaged valves and hydrants and installation of new structures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
