Overall Purpose:
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development (Capital) Engineer to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging technical knowledge to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and support the Business Development Manager in various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying New Business Opportunities:
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Attend industry events and conferences.
- Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals.
- Manage the sales pipeline and track progress.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners.
- Collaborate with other departments to align business development activities with company goals.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Manage project risks and issues.
Qualifications:
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience: Three or more years in aftersales, customer services, or sales in an OEM engineering and fabrication environment.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and industry trends.
- Proficiency in sales and marketing strategies, including lead generation and deal closing.
- Market research and analysis skills.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders.
- Understanding of industry regulations, market trends, and emerging technologies.
- Business acumen in finance, marketing, and sales.
- Analytical skills to identify and pursue business opportunities.
Performance Deliverables:
- Business Opportunities: Number of new clients, products, and services introduced annually.
- Sales and Marketing: Sales growth, sales cycle time, and lead conversion rates.
- Relationship Building: Client retention, satisfaction, and partnership longevity.
- Project Management: On-time and within-budget project delivery, resource allocation, and achievement of project objectives.
