We are seeking a highly skilled Designer to join a leading player in the rigid plastics industry, based in Ottery. This is an exceptional opportunity for a design professional with expertise in mould design and a strong understanding of blow moulding and injection moulding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop moulds for manufacturing rigid plastic products.
- Oversee complete projects from concept to industrialization.
- Design components based on briefs, ensuring functionality and appropriate material selection.
- Manage mould trials and provide relevant documentation to trial staff.
- Source and collaborate on mould components.
- Work closely with toolmakers during all mould manufacturing phases.
- Maintain and update the mould/drawing database.
- Troubleshoot component and mould issues effectively.
- Lead or contribute to technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mould design within a Toolroom environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks .
- In-depth knowledge of blow moulding and injection moulding processes.
