Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in Manufacturing, Springs.
This person will report to the Shift Team Leader.
You will be required to do the following:
- Operate, start and stop power driven machines particular to the industry (e.g., tray packer, labeller, seamer, filler, capping machine).
- Scrutinize or check the work done by the machine.
- Make running adjustments to the machine.
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to (quality checks).
- Ensure settings are done according to SOPs.
- Assist in changeover procedures.
- Minimize unplanned downtime on machines and equipment.
- Optimize all machines and equipment OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
- Execute first line maintenance.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Technical orientation.
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 1 – 2 years relevant experience.
- Must have Packaging 2 Skills Programme.
- NQF Level 3 Packaging Qualification.
