Maintenance Millwright
Location: Pietermaritzburg, KZN
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting faults and implementing corrective actions.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks to downsize and maximize efficiency.
- Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize production interruption.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate and tend lathe and turning machines.
- Turn, bore, form or face metal plastic materials.
- Operate production machinery.
- Operate maintenance machinery.
- Perform general engineering-based tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Millwright or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Trade certification as a Millwright or relevant qualification.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
