A vacancy exists for a BI Reporting Analyst, based at Life Head Office, reporting to the Head of Analytics. The successful candidate will be pivotal in driving and embedding analytics and business intelligence within the Life Renal Care business. This role is responsible for extracting hidden insights from data, developing compelling visualisations, and informing strategic decisions using statistical techniques.

Drive Business Value:
- Ensure that Life Renal Care leverages analytics and data to drive business value.
- Identify opportunities for additional value-adding insights from data analysis.
Data Analysis:
- Apply statistical techniques to extract insights from structured and unstructured datasets to solve specific business problems.
- Use business knowledge and data understanding to extract features from raw data that can improve statistical models.
Business Intelligence and Visualization:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop data visualisation solutions that synthesise data concepts into actionable insights for key business stakeholders with a strong visual narrative.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and dashboards efficiently using tools like Power BI and SQL Reporting Services.
- Evaluate new visualisation tools and research best practices for presenting insights in reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with business stakeholders to raise awareness of the power of analytics and data visualisation.
- Present insights in a compelling and actionable way, translating complex analytical concepts into digestible information for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to identify practical and strategically relevant insights.

- Commit to ongoing skills development and research into optimal techniques and solutions for analytical problems.

Requirements
Educational Background:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably Honours-level, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related analytical field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics and business intelligence environment.
- Proven experience using statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and SQL Reporting Services.
- Healthcare industry experience is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced capabilities in Power BI and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling, engineering, visualisation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with data solutions and relevant analytics tools.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of users.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex problems across multiple business areas.
