Payroll and Admin Specialist

Description
Assists with the administration of day-to-day operations of the human resource functions and duties. Assists with all activities necessary to process payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports, preparing accounting transactions and documents, and preparing special reports for management. End-to-end processing of payroll and benefits, owning the audit process annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that the filing is up to date.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll of employees on the payroll system (This includes the entire cycle of payroll process).
- Review and ensure accuracy of approved travel and overtime claims.
- Responsible for the coordination between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
- Handle the administration of the Payroll system.
- Maintain employee records.
- Generate reports for payments e.g. PAYE returns, benefit control and other third parties.
- Generate reports for leave management.
- Maintain a proper document control system.
- Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration.
- Prepare month-end reporting.
- Engage with various stakeholders.
- Responsible for loading and terminating of employees on signify. Maintain HR Datawarehouse.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications and Experience
- Sage 300 Payroll certification is required.
- 2 to 3 years of payroll and/or HR admin experience.
Knowledge
- HR legislation (EEA and BCEA).
- HR Systems.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of Payroll Systems (i.e. SAGE 300 is essential).
- Working in a global organization.
- Knowledge of database management and record keeping.
