Position Overview:
The Financial Lead / Business Unit Leader – Finance Business Unit will be responsible for the adoption of appropriate governance practices in the institution. One will also be responsible for effective co-ordination, management and quality of work of the Finance Business Unit .
The Business Unit Leader (BUL) will advise the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on strategic issues relating to financial management , financial health , how to increase profitability in the long run and ensure effective translation of all strategic initiatives into quantitative financial imperatives .
Key Performance Areas:
- Policies and strategic input.
- Tactical and operational functions.
- Reporting.
- Budgeting.
Essential Qualifications and Experience required:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant of South Africa , CA(SA) is essential .
- At least 10 years post articles experience , with more than 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role in a finance function of a large organisation.
- One should be an innovative thinker, analytical, effective communicator, dynamic leader, and skilled negotiator and will be able to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven experience of being involved in Digital Transformation Projects and/or the Implementation of ERP Systems .
