We have an exciting opportunity for a 6-month internship contract, based in the Paarl. The successful applicant will assist with the installation of weather stations and associated technologies across the southern provinces of South Africa. Responsibilities: Assist with the Installation, maintenance, service support and troubleshooting activities of all equipment/hardware needs. Compiling short feedback reports on actions taken. Assist with the collection of superior agricultural data quality by Ag-Tech products and services. Weekly vehicle and equipment inspections and reporting (a Vehicle will be provided for installations). A Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field of study in IT , Agriculture or radio frequency. Proficient in the use of technology, especially computers (IoT's or Ag-Tech products exposure, advantageous). Google Maps, Google My Maps, Excel and Outlook abilities. Have a valid drivers license. Bilingual in Afrikaans and English. Have excellent interpersonal, communication and literacy skills. Have excellent organizational skills. Be self-confident and willing to travel. Be able to work without supervision. Be able to perform physically strenuous work in adverse weather conditions. Have a problem-solving mindset. Enjoy working outdoors.
