In the context of our growth, we are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support four of our countries in Southern Africa operationally. Joining our young HR team, you will play a key role in structuring the HR function at Enko Education, working closely with school leaders to foster a motivating and trusting work environment.
With a seasoned approach and expertise in diverse and complex settings, you’ll be able to anchor Enko Education’s culture, implement effective HR processes for school management, and develop any missing HR tools and approaches necessary for our HR toolkit.
Aligned with school objectives, the HRBP serves as an expert, advisor, and challenger, guiding school directors on understanding human resources challenges and supporting their team development in line with Enko Education’s model. From organizational planning to meet school growth needs to implementing processes that ensure a positive work environment and responsible human resources management, the HRBP makes Enko Education an employer of choice.
Your main mission will be to serve as the right-hand person to school management in human resources management. Particularly well-versed in legal knowledge, with a level of rigor suited to monitor and oversee a range of topics under your responsibility, intellectually agile, equipped with analytical skills, and an articulate writing style, you will confidently address daily HR challenges and leverage these experiences to design forward-looking solutions.
Scope:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Partner with internal clients to accurately define role profiles based on team needs and future objectives.
- Create and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract talent in a competitive market.
- Ensure long-term alignment of recruited talent.
- Conduct interviews assessing both technical and managerial competencies.
- Tailor onboarding plans to fit the position’s requirements.
- Management of HR Processes and Policies:
- Develop HR processes to standardize practices and adapt them to each school’s local specificities.
- Communicate the purpose of HR processes, ensuring they are locally implemented and understood as purposeful tools rather than mere administrative procedures.
- Ensure HR practices comply with local regulations and organizational policies.
- Implement systems for process control, monitoring, and reporting, with performance indicators to track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Disciplinary Management:
- Assist in diagnosing situations to help managers create appropriate action plans.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for performance tracking.
- Draft disciplinary notices when needed.
- Guide managers through difficult conversations related to professional insufficiencies or behavioral issues.
- Develop legal partnerships, setting clear terms to reach desired outcomes.
- Social Relations:
- Guide school directors on employee representation obligations.
- Foster a healthy and pleasant work atmosphere.
- Compensation & Benefits (Payroll Management):
- Handle payroll administration within your scope, continuously improving compliance levels.
- Oversee payroll-related information flows to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits, such as insurance and bonuses, following local regulations and internal compensation policies.
- Establish trust with employees in terms of pay and benefits, promoting fairness and transparent communication.
- Understand the school market in your area to implement a competitive remuneration policy.
- Supporting Schools in Professionalizing Managers’ HR Role:
- Proactively create conditions that establish employee trust regarding payroll and benefits, ensuring fair treatment and transparent communication.
- Understand the school market within your scope to implement a well-suited compensation policy.
- Supporting Schools in Professionalizing the Manager’s Role as a Proximity HR:
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices in each school to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Assess the specific HR management needs of each school.
- Design and effectively deliver practical training sessions on management topics.
Ideal candidate:
- Demonstrates strong rigor and attention to detail.
- A first experience as an HR generalist is a considerable asset or a strong interest in labor and social law.
- Holds a Master’s/MBA in HR, Law, or Business Management.
- Ability to handle complex topics, both strategic and operational.
- Strong communicator: The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization effectively.
- Proficient in implementing and monitoring processes and projects.
- Strong writing skills.
- Able to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Skilled in driving stakeholder engagement and facilitating change adoption.
- Strong interpersonal skills: The candidate must establish trust with school leaders and their teams, enabling them to make high-impact decisions with legitimacy.
