Service Technician
We are hiring a Service Technician who will be responsible for customer support, overseeing installations and repairs, and growing sales within the Services Business Unit.

Responsibilities & duties:
- Complete required service reports and communicate to relevant persons.
- Communicate/coordinate field service activities with customer and/or local Rubicon associated sales personnel.
- Installation, service and repair of refrigeration air conditioning, and all associated tasks thereof.
- Overall understanding of Rittal/Panel Mount Industrial Panel Coolers.
- Good working knowledge of intercoolers and heat exchangers.
- Provide telephonic technical support to customers.
- Promote Service Contracts through customer interactions and communication.
- Understand customer requirements and provide the most cost-effective solution from Rubicon.
- Follow-up on Sales leads.
- Grow the customer base for Services.
- Identify sales opportunities within customers' plants.
- Grow sales and revenue for Services Department (SLAs, once-off services, parts and accessories).
- Process in-house evaluations and repairs of units returned by customers.
- Coordinate and work well with Service Partners.
- Other duties as may be requested from time to time.
Qualification & experience:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Refrigeration qualification preferable.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant field.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration products is required.
- Experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
- Previous field service experience preferred.
- Possess a valid driver's license and unrestricted ability to travel by air or ground to customer locations.
