We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Manager to join our bakery team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our bakery products are safe for consumption and comply with all relevant food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Audits and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including the South African Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, and conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance.
2. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for employees on food safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
3. Supplier Management: Ensure that all suppliers of ingredients and packaging materials comply with our food safety standards and regulations.
4. Incident Management: Investigate and manage any food safety incidents, including product recalls and customer complaints.
5. Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve our food safety management system to ensure it remains effective and compliant with changing regulations.
