CureVac SE is a global biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on prophylactic vaccines, innovative cancer immunotherapies and protein-based therapies. To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, we are currently looking to recruit a
(Senior) Bioinformatician (f/m/d) R&D Computational Research
- Design and implementation of innovative algorithms and computational tools for optimization and quantification of mRNAs, leveraging machine learning and AI methodologies
- Analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets, including transcriptomics, genomics and production relevant data, and further
- Development of strategies for integrating multi-omics data to enhance the understanding of biological processes and optimize RNA-based applications
- Collaboration with (computational) scientists to ensure that the developed tools meet the needs of ongoing research projects & activities
- Documentation of methodologies, results, and findings
- Presentation of research outcomes to stakeholders and contribution to scientific publications
- University degree, preferably with a Ph.D., in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Genetics/Genomics or a related field
- Proven experience in bioinformatics, particularly with RNA modality and multi-omics data analysis
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI based techniques and their application in biological research
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex biological data and derive meaningful insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and contribute to a positive team culture
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
- Experience in cloud computing, agile software development, and structuring complex biological data is beneficial
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
