National Express are looking to recruit a Vault Handler on a part time basis to join our team based in Acocks Green. The role of a vault handler is to ensure that all on bus cash taken is paid into the Company in accordance with Company procedures. As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Shift Pattern: 5 hour per day (any 5 days out of 7)
What you'll do:
- Complete on a daily basis the vault control sheet (detailing full current fleet) utilised to record the daily vault loading and de-vaulting process. To ensure any loose coinage located in vault housings is recorded on a vault control sheet next to the vehicle concerned
- Complete in change buses section of vault control sheet any unscheduled de-vaulting/ re-vaulting of vehicles. To reconcile vault out and vault in columns. To confirm de-vaulting of all buses. To sign vault control sheet to confirm correct completion
- Ensure carousel/ vault track apertures are secured once de-vaulting process is completed and key allocation recorded in key register. Discrepancies between the total vaults allocated to the Garage and those actually accounted for are reported to the SDM/ ATM for investigation. To carry out the daily replenishment of ticket rolls in the wayfarer/ ticket issuing equipment.
- Be fully conversant with any Company vehicle and the appropriate use of manual handling once training has been provided. To ensure that cash taken is paid into the Company in accordance with agreed procedures. To carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner. To handle vaults and any other Company equipment with due care and attention.
