Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Location: Northern Suburbs of Cape Town Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT / Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring that systems are maintained and up to date. Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end users - Set up new computers and transfer data from old devices - Install and update operating systems and software applications - Perform system updates and patches to ensure security and performance - Provide technical support through phone, email, or in-person for end users - Document and maintain records of IT issues and resolutions - Assist with IT projects as needed Prerequisits : - Own reliable transport & Valid drivers license - Preferably lives in the northern suburbs of Cape Town If you meet the qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration. Skills: - Great troubleshooting skills - Office 365 Business / Teams / Sharepoint knowledge - RMM Software experience - CCTV & VOIP Knowledge will be beneficial - Physical installations of desktops, servers, routers, wifi AP's, etc Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems - Familiarity with hardware components and peripheral devices - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Certifications such as CompTIA A or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus Education: - High school diploma or equivalent - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
