Are you an experienced Accountant with a passion for the hospitality industry?
We’re looking for a skilled professional to manage the financial operations for various hospitality-related divisions such as Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Housekeeping.
This role combines financial accounting, management accounting, and the preparation of detailed management packs to ensure financial efficiency and success.
Minimum Requirements:
Completed finance/accounting-related BCom degree.
3 or more years experience in a similar accounting role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
Proficiency in financial and management accounting principles.
Strong experience with month-end reporting and compiling management packs.
Previous experience working on Sage; Opera and Micros.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Deep understanding of hospitality operations, including Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Housekeeping.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Month-End Reporting:
Prepare and review monthly financial reports for divisions including Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Housekeeping.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Oversee reconciliation processes, including bank, inventory, and intercompany accounts.
Management Accounting:
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for each division.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all hospitality operations.
Provide actionable insights and financial guidance to department heads.
Management Packs & Financial Reporting:
Compile and present comprehensive management packs for leadership, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
Deliver detailed financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and improve profitability.
Monitor and report on divisional performance against budget, identifying areas for improvement.
Operational Support for Divisions:
Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Front Desk, Housekeeping, and other teams to streamline financial processes.
Implement cost controls and monitor expense management across all divisions.
Support divisional managers with financial planning and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
General:
Ensure compliance with tax laws, industry regulations, and internal controls.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
