Architectural Commercial Kitchen Designer x2 roles - junior and senior
Based in Hyde Park
A kitchen designer's job is to create custom kitchens for clients that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet building codes:
- Design : Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and lifestyle, and design a kitchen layout that's functional and fits their space constraints.
- Plan : Create 2D and 3D plans using design software, and prepare a timeline and budget for the project. Must be able to use REVIT and CADD.
- Select : Help clients choose appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, colors, and finishes.
- Source : Source and oversee independent contractors, such as plumbers and cabinet makers.
- Install : Oversee installation work, track progress, and ensure quality.
- Communicate : Inform clients about how to care for their new kitchen, and keep detailed records of hours and activities.
- Stay current : Keep up to date with design trends and products.
Kitchen designers will work in a commercial and industrial settings, including restaurants, hospitals, canteens, and cafeterias.
Some skills and qualifications that are beneficial for kitchen designers include:
- Experience with design software and project management (REVIT AND CADD)
- Knowledge of kitchen materials and appliances
- Spatial planning

- A degree in interior design or architecture or similar
