On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Principal Project Planner for a 6 months contract based Hybrid 2-3 days a week in Birmingham

As a Principal Project Planner, your main responsibilities will be to:
To lead the planning function within project team, providing guidance and direction to other planners, and checking quality and consistency of all planning and associated reporting
To review and confirm that all involved parties are aware of there respective accountabilities and responsibilities and provide support and guidance to all the key stakeholders, as appropriate, in line with the production and management of the quality project delivery plans/schedules
Provide professional leadership in respect of the planning processes; identification of key stakeholders; communication; promote awareness of accountabilities and responsibilities.
Validate plans / schedules inline with the agreed functional Quality Management Plan for completeness and fitness for purpose
Develop, maintain and progress quality project plans / schedules in line with the functional processes and project requirements.
Maintain key interdependencies between projects and programmes confirming appropriate monitoring and action is undertaken as required in a timely manner
Oversee and confirm that the 'contractor schedules' comply with the Network Rail procedural and quality requirements
Essential:
Experience in Primavera P6
Experience in working with NEC4 contracts
Experience in managing multiple projects/ programmes at the same time
Experience in GRIP
Experience in rail or NR
Desirable:
Experience in rail
Experience in tender programmes
APMP qualification
