Min 5years Hospitality and Game Lodge Maintenance Management experience essential

➢ Applicants to have and inclination and passion for the technical aspects of a high end lodge operation.
➢ The position is a live-in position working on a 6 week on 2 week off rotation.
➢ All board and lodging included.
➢ 50% towards medical aid included.
➢ 7.5% company contribution of gross salary added to a 7.5% personal deduction of
gross salary (15% total) toward company provident fund.
➢ R20 000 – R30 000 remuneration negotiable subject to experience and to an interview.
Facility Management
General upkeep and maintenance of the lodge's infrastructure.
Coordination and supervision of repairs and building renovations.
HVAC Systems
Maintenance and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems,
refrigeration and ice machines
Plumbing
Management of water supply systems, including pumps, pipes, and water treatment facilities.
Ensuring efficient operation of hot water systems, sewage, and drainage including
grease trap and wastewater treatment facility management.
Electrical Systems
Maintenance of High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems, including lighting,
power supply, and backup generators.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
Guest Room Maintenance
Promptly addressing issues in guest rooms, such as plumbing, electrical, and structural problems.
Ensuring rooms are always in top condition to meet luxury standards.
Pool Maintenance
Regular maintenance and cleaning of pools including pool coolers and heaters
Ensuring water quality and safety standards are met.
Groundskeeping
Maintenance of landscapes, gardens, and outdoor areas.
Pest control and management.
Safety and Security Systems
Management of fire safety systems, alarms, and extinguishers.
Overseeing security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control.
Sustainability Practices
Implementation of eco-friendly practices and sustainable maintenance solutions.
Management of waste disposal and recycling programs.
Preventive Maintenance Programs
Development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules.
Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Inventory and Budget Management
Management of maintenance supplies and inventory.
Budgeting for maintenance activities and cost control.
Team Management
Oversight and management of established maintenance team of 12 staff.
Supervising and training maintenance staff.
Scheduling and delegating tasks to ensure efficient operations.
Controlling staff leave schedules.
Suppliers and Contractor Management
Coordinating with external suppliers and contractors for specialized maintenance work.
Negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service delivery.
Compliance and Safety Regulations
Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with local regulations and safety standards.
Conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
Emergency Response
Preparedness to respond to emergencies and breakdowns promptly.
Developing and implementing emergency response plans.
Customer Service Skills
Interacting with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Addressing guest complaints and maintenance requests effectively.
Technology and Software
Familiarity with maintenance management software and systems.
Using technology for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Experience in solar farm and battery powered electrical maintenance and upkeep.
