My client in the insurance sector who was established almost 100 years ago is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial integrity of the operations and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. The successful candidate will manage a wide range of accounting activities and have experience with IFRS 17.
Duties:
- Oversee the month-end close process
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS
- IFRS reporting
- Collaborate with auditors
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- CA (SA)
- A minimum of 3 years long term insurance experience would be advantageous
Skill:
- IFRS 17 experience is compulsory
