Key Outputs
- Load and offload components from transport vehicles.
- Move components to required areas (Receiving, pre-wash, disassembly, inspection, WIP, staging, salvage, assembly, testing, paint, and dispatch).
- Movement of physical WIP within the BRC - start to end process – WIP = Loose parts in bins, reused parts, new parts, salvage parts, shipping stands & Mini Market Parts.
- Collection of physical WIP from value stream collection points and internal and external salvage.
- Delivering of WIP based on assembly schedule for all components at the facility.
- Responsible for binning of reuse WIP and salvage parts.
- Ensure effective control of on-time delivery of WIP parts to staging/assembly line.
- Staging of WIP – Verify, consolidate, and deliver new, used, and salvage parts for the assembly line.
- Update planning system (Inbound and outbound of WIP).
- Wrap components on an ad hoc basis.
- Preparation of quote rejected WIP – Pack into boxes to return to regions.
- Achieve service key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Ensure housekeeping and contamination control standards are maintained.
- Confirm job complete at staging area.
- Daily forklift inspections and checks.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12
- Previous forklift experience
- Basic component identification knowledge
- Reach truck & forklift licence required.
- Overhead crane – Valid license.
- Component exposure within a component repair facility.
- Ability to identify CAT parts and where used (Component / Model Identification).
- Able to follow standard operating procedure.
- SIS (must be able to read SIS parts print).
- Basic computer knowledge (Update planning system - MS Access).
