Job & Company Description:
A multinational corporation specializing in optical, imaging, and industrial is urgently looking for an Accounting Manager to join their tech-savvy and diverse finance team on a 12-month contract basis.
This role will require an individual with a passion for accounting practices, economic principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations, and auditing practices.
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Manage the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other accounting functions for the organization.
- Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization.
- Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff.
- Prepare or lead preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
As you will be required to hit the ground running, extensive experience is essential.
Requirements:
Qualification:
- CA(SA) with completed board exams.
Experience: - 8 years accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and Sox.
- Good knowledge of budget management and financial risk management.
Skills Required: - Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent collaborative skills.
- Ownership and accountability.
