Timac Agro South Africa isseeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative (TSR) tojoin our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling andmarketing Timac Agro concepts and products to both current and potentialclients within their designated area. The TSR will need to understand the cropneeds of the area and work towards developing more effective and efficientfarming practices by conducting research, taking and testing samples, andsolving complex agricultural problems. This role requires a close partnershipwith farmers to provide ongoing support, improve farming conditions, and buildlong-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Grow a territory of clients, manage, secure, and maintain relationshipswith clients/farmers.
- Sales Target Achievement: Achieve targets asset out by management.
- Distribution and Growth: Outline and achievedistribution and growth objectives/sales goals within a specificgeographic area through effective management.
- Product Promotion: Introduce new products,promote improved distribution, and ensure successful promotional results.
- Market Awareness: Stay current onbusiness/market conditions, intensively plan sales, recognize newopportunities within each account, and maintain necessary territoryrecords.
- Educational Training: Provide educationaltraining to clients and associations through seminars and trade events.
- Client Trust Building: Build and develop trustand confidence with farmers through product knowledge, persuasivepresentations, and overcoming objections.
- Reporting: Prepare and circulate sales andother admin reports to the management of the company.
Profile
- Have an existing network of potential clients
- Sales Experience working directly with End Users
Knowledge and Skills
- Plant and animal nutrition
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
