The post is initially funded for 1 year with the expectation that it will be extended to 18 months to cover an internal secondment. Housing First is a housing and support approach which:Gives people who have experienced homelessness and chronic health and social care needs a stable home from which to rebuild their lives.Provides intensive, person-centred, holistic support that is open-ended.Places no conditions on individuals; however, they should desire to have a tenancy.Based on seven principles, Housing First helps to ensure that individuals have a right to a home, have the choice about where they live, and are supported to identify their strengths and goals.
