Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Facilitation Manager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and fast-growing company. The successful candidate will lead the facilitation of our courses in design, development and implementation. This role will be responsible for developing facilitator guides, monitoring coaches and industry experts, and ensuring that our learning approach integrates cutting-edge online tools to drive learner engagement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the facilitation of courses, ensuring that they are delivered to a high standard and meet the needs of our learners.
- Develop comprehensive facilitator guides and resources to standardise and enhance the delivery of learning across programmes.
- Deliver online or in-person training sessions as required, including piloting new programmes to test and refine course delivery before full rollout.
- Lead the assessment, coaching, and monitoring of facilitators and coaches to ensure they meet company standards and continually improve their facilitation techniques.
- Align facilitation styles with innovative online tools and technologies to maximise learner engagement and create interactive, meaningful learning experiences.
- Regularly review and update facilitation practices, incorporating feedback and new learning methodologies to ensure they stay aligned with the latest industry trends.
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure that course content supports facilitation and is designed to optimise engagement in both virtual and blended environments.
- Conduct regular evaluations of facilitation effectiveness, using metrics such as learner feedback, engagement data, and performance outcomes to assess success and implement improvements.
- Ensure that coaches are skilled in using digital learning platforms and tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual classrooms, and other engagement technologies.
- Coordinate the ongoing development of the coaches and industry experts through workshops, training sessions, and mentoring, ensuring they remain skilled and motivated.
- Stay up to date on new tools and techniques in online and in-person facilitation, and lead the integration of these technologies into our learning programmes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: BCom in Industrial Psychology or similar qualification.
- 5+ years experience in training and facilitation both online and in-person.
- 2-3 years of managing a team.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Proven experience in course facilitation and development, with a strong focus on managing and developing industry experts and coaches.
- Experience in designing and delivering facilitator guides and training materials.
- Knowledge and experience with innovative online tools and learning technologies, such as virtual classrooms, engagement platforms, and e-learning systems.
- Strong understanding of learner engagement strategies and how to enhance learning through facilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of coaches.
- Ability to assess facilitation quality and implement development plans for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the Higher Education field.
- Able to travel for business as needed.
This is a hybrid position, working both remotely and in our Cape Town offices.
