Demand Buyer Pharmaceutical Bulk & Finished Product

Are you a skilled negotiator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring uninterrupted supply chains? We're looking for an experienced Demand Buyer (Bulk & Finished product) to join our team and play a crucial role in procuring finished goods from cGMP compliant suppliers. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with cGMP compliant suppliers, negotiating optimal pricing and supply terms in line with specifications.
- Develop dual sources of suppliers to ensure redundancy and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Generate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), leading negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable supply terms.
- Place orders based on the planned Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring timely and efficient procurement of required materials.
- Execute MPS activities within the ERP system, monitoring open orders, expediting as necessary, and updating the system accordingly.
- Conduct spend analysis and lead cost-saving initiatives to optimize procurement processes and drive efficiency.
- Support the New Product Development Team by facilitating the procurement of materials for new product launches.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to share and maintain a monthly production plan, aligning with their ongoing capabilities.
- Generate stock status reports on finished goods, providing visibility on potential stock outs or overstocking, and report findings to the management team on a weekly basis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is essential.
- Postgraduate qualification as a functional specialist (excluding MBA) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems like Sage or Xperdyte.
- Active membership in an appropriate vocational society is preferred.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in a Buyer/Planner environment, with a strong background in procurement processes.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and a track record of successful cost-saving initiatives.
- Familiarity with Lean Principles, Theory of Constraints, or Six Sigma methodologies is essential.
- Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
