As a Data Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support the growing needs of our business. You will assist in the development of data solutions, perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks, and collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and accessibility. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business intelligence and data analytics needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure that data solutions meet business needs.
- Perform ETL processes to extract data from multiple sources, including JD Edwards, transform it into a usable format, and load it into data storage systems.
- Write clean, efficient code to automate data workflows and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Leverage Power BI to create and support business intelligence reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in a timely manner, escalating to senior engineers when necessary.
- Ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering trends and technologies.
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, processes, and systems.
- Assist in the integration of new data sources and technologies to improve data accessibility and reliability.
- Work with data analysts and business users to ensure that data is being used effectively across teams.
- Collaborate across the IT team while providing support beyond core role-specific responsibilities, taking on tasks as needed to contribute to the broader success of team initiatives.
What You’ll Need (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards for data integration and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with Power BI for developing reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline architecture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
