Backline Avonmouth are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 driver on afull-time basis, for a minimum 3 year contract.
We are currently looking for an experienced Class 2 driver to work away 5 days per week driving and operating a Class 2 Hydrovac machine.
You will be picking up the vehicle from the Forest of Dean on a Monday, then going to work in the Southampton/Portsmouth area. You will be given a hotel to stay in for the nights away, provided and paid for by the client, as will be any fuels and consumables related to the job.
Your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday. As previously mentioned, you will pick the vehicle up on Monday, work from roughly 0700am until roughly 1600pm each day, then return the vehicle to the drop off point on Friday.
HydroVac/Vacuum tanker experience would be highly advantageous, however not essential as full training will be given.

About You:
* You will have held your Class 1 and 2 for a minimum of 1 year
* Maximum 6 points for minor offences
* a minimum of 2 years provable work history with no gaps
* Looking for appreciation and a good team ethic
* A good knowledge and experience of driving all types of trucks
* Eager to learn new skills
* An appreciation of good customer service
* General responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Completing all relevant paperwork required
* Ensuring daily vehicle checks and defect reports are completed
* Liaising with your line manager to communicate any issues relevant to the work you have been allocated
* Adhering to all relevant road traffic and working time regulations
* Maintaining accurate driving hours, working time and rest period/break records using the appropriate method (digi/analogue tachograph)
