Main Functions: Delivering (develop, deploy, ensure uptime, maintain, optimise and evolute) billing infrastructure.
Duties Include: - Maintain and optimize billing infrastructure (databases & servers) and collaborate with vendors and refine performance.
- Maintain product catalogues and call charge rates and do analysis on rating (and updates) as well as analysis margin on accounts.
- Build mediation rules and usage flow into the billing system.
- Ensure customer charges are applied correctly.
- Migration of from legacy billing system to a new system (lead architecture discussions for this).
- Audit plans/products.
- Handle escalations & queries from internal & external teams (installation team, support team, stakeholders).
- P&L responsibility: Analyse invoices and identify cost-saving opportunities, same with vendors.
- Develop technical documentation and reports.
Requirements: - 8 - 10 years technical VoIP billing experience (fixed and variable billing) & ISP/Telco billing operations (in a Service Provider environment).
- 8 10 years in Linux OS.
- 8 10 years SQL database experience and intermediate SQL proficiency.
- Intermediate scripting: Perl / Python.
- Experience with integration into accounting packages and deploying middleware between systems.
- Large data analysis experience.
- Architecting billing system hierarchy.
Preferred Experience: - Project management and leadership experience
