Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Manage the daily operations of the club, including court bookings, facility maintenance, and staff supervision.
- Ensure the club facilities (courts, locker rooms, reception areas, etc.) are well-maintained, clean, and safe at all times.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for facility repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Oversee the scheduling and smooth execution of padel tournaments, leagues, and social events.
Membership & Customer Service:
- Drive membership growth through marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and community outreach.
- Provide excellent customer service and address member concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and implement member retention strategies, including special events, loyalty programs, and feedback initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of reception staff, coaches, maintenance workers, and other personnel.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and encourage continuous professional development among staff.
- Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the club's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations.
- Track revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the club meets financial targets.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the club's leadership team.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
- Create and execute marketing plans to promote the club, attract new members, and engage with the local community.
- Work with local businesses and organizations to develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Utilize social media, email newsletters, and other communication channels to enhance the club's visibility and build its brand.
Padel Program Development:
- Oversee the development and management of padel programs, including training camps, clinics, and private lessons.
- Work closely with coaches to develop training plans and ensure members of all skill levels receive a high-quality experience.
- Organize and promote competitive and recreational padel events to foster community engagement and participation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a manager in a sports facility, ideally in racquet sports or padel, or a related field.
- Experience managing teams and handling day-to-day operations is essential.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage budgets, track performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
- Marketing and social media management skills are a plus.
- A passion for padel or experience with racquet sports is highly desirable. Knowledge of padel rules, techniques, and industry trends would be a significant advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- First Aid and Health & Safety certifications are an advantage.
- Knowledge of booking software and club management systems is beneficial.
Remuneration:
- R18 000 - R20 000 CTC Per Month
